Lighting, color, and shadows add mystery and intrigue to a setting where one must peer hard to see figures emerging on the right and consider their movement and activity next to the tall barrel, as well as distinguish the building entranceway and the "obelisk" persimmon structure. The use and play of light reminds of LaTour; the entire image of a visual puzzle.
