I like the seemingly opposing balances of the monk and the statue. They seem to be on different wavelengths which is further shown with the opposing expressions as well.
I'm struck by the stiffness of the monk's pose and the fluidity of the bronze statue behind him. The sculpted lady has a smile, while the anxious man is not successful in disguising a frown. What a lovely juxtaposition!
