A sidebar: On my first tour I went over by boat (28 days) but came back on Continental Airlines. On the second tour, I went over on a Boeing 727 from SLICK AIRLINES ... probably only had the one plane and was the low bidder. To get to Vietnam on that type of aircraft meant flying from San Francisco to Anchorage, Alaska ... from there to Tokyo ... on to Hong Kong ... and then on again to Vietnam.
