Leo Star Trail with Comet Lulin

Taken March 1, 2009. I was taking a long exposure photo of the Leo Triplet Galaxies and thought I'd see if the comet would show up on a standard camera lens and a fixed tripod. This is made up of 4 5 minute exposures. An interesting idea, but not planned out as well as it should have been. I was hoping to capture the movement of the comet as a constrast to the movement of the stars in the sky. I did not lead Lulin enough to allow an hour or more of time, and the comet is moving in the same general direction of the stars.

The comet is dim in the photo, but can be found by its distinctive green hue and the fuzzy line it makes leading the bright star Regulus. Look in the lower half of the center of the photo.
