I spent the day in jury duty.
Thankfully, if you don't get picked for a jury it's only a one day affair.
I don't mind the yearly duty.
I do mind the many people who are unable to grasp some key concepts:
"Innocent until proven guilty."
"Beyond a reasonable doubt."
The judge went round and round with the potential jurors on these concepts.
At first I thought these folks were attempting to avoid service, then I wasn't so sure.
They just weren't getting it!
It says a lot about our society when people have trouble grasping these fundamentals.
Tomorrow (election day) may say even more!
