We spent the morning doing yard work, mostly the drudgery of weed pulling, ivy eradication, and general cleanup. None of the fun stuff.
But there was the fun of the first poppies! Cathi planted some all around the property late last year and now they're all coming
up. As is the sweet allysum, the last of the daffodils, freesias and what Cathi calls "double-headed daffodils."
I don't know about that, I think she made that one up. And we have the lilac and the wisteria in the back starting to bloom.
All of this accompanied by 80 degree weather. It's a little warm for me, I prefer the cooler temps. That's ok, the weather man
says we're supposed to cool off and have some rain next weekend. None too soon for me, I'm not ready for summer!
Perhaps we can trade weather for a while, Jude? And Jeanne, I love that "cross-processing" you did yesterday. I gotta try that!
