January 31st - Daffodil 2

Here is the same daffodil as yesterday, only a little more than 24 hours later. None of the other daffodils are even showing yet

I took this shot when I got home from work tonight. It was already dark, so I used my on-camera flash, a folded piece of paper
to both soften and bounce the light and then a piece of white cardboard positioned over the top of the flower as another
reflector. The light is softened and diffused this way, bouncing around instead of directly hitting the flower.

Here is another shot of the same flower but with the unadulterated flash directly lighting the daffodil.

other sizes: small medium large auto

Oh my gosh, this is great! I thought this might be the same daffodil as yesterday!

Nice technique, and the dof is awesome here.

I'm really impressed with your lighting technique -- great results, much better than the straight flash.
