Decmber 27th - Santa...

...was good to me!

I found this new lense in my stocking on Christmas morning.
Thanks, Santa!

The holidays were busy for us, we split our time between the families.
There was plenty of food and drink, many laughs and much love.
Cathi and I came home that evening for our own little Christmas, just the two of us and the dogs.
Then we settled in for a day of recovery; lying on the couch, watching tv and doing laundry.

Back at work today, I was greeted by a new dual processor G5 Mac waiting to be installed in my edit bay.
I crawled around on the floor, plugging in cables and installing software and cards.
It was almost like having another Christmas!

Nice lens.. I have a 100 to 400 but the 4-5 does have its draw backs from having a 2.8 or 1.9 prime and that's in shooting action (sports) in a poorly lit gym or large room (where flash is not allowed). Overall I'm pleased with it. I still need to buy a nice 135mm or 200mm 1.9 or 2.8 Prime for my Canon tho for these instances..

Also the plastic mount has me a little neurvous, the Phoenix lenses have metal mounts. I bought a 100 to 400 EOS of this as well of which I'm very pleased with its clarity.

I hope you have fun with it.. got the hood for it?
