JD-318 & JD-400
Arrived home and ready to unload
54" front blade, 46" 3-blade mower deck and 30" hydraulic tiller
Tiller has a separate hydraulic pump attached to the rear PTO (pwr take-off)
Had to remove air cleaner, side panels and heat shields to expose engine
All the nooks and cranny's were clean
Offset, opposed twin engine produces 18 hp

I'll run it a bit without the covers to check for seepage or other issues to show
Did a test drive by plowiing out a connecting road through heavy blackberries and small trees.
Shaved off a big hump on driveway corner I didn't want to do by hand. Took 15 minutes

Heading for home with the JD-400
Front blade had never been mounted. Hydraulics are trash - blade & mount good
Stopped at a scale and trailer with tractor weighed 2560 lbs
Trailer without tractor- 850 lbs. Tractor 1710 lbs.
The backhoe is the holy grail of attachments. Very rare
I will need to replace most of the hydraulic hoses over time.
Took a bit of manuvering to get it in the Deere Barn with two other mowers.
Had to make a dozen back-and-forth moves to get the angle to back in.
Dropped the backhoe a bit and inched it in.
The front bucket is propped up so I can work on the hydraulic pump and front wheels.
Ad for J-400 with backhoe and just front blade
