Life as I see it each day.........

Welcome! I've been toying with the idea of trying PAD for quite some time. I've watched many of my Pbase friends fine tune their skills and become wonderful photographers by practicing every day. I think I'm finally up to the challenge

This year my New Year's resolution is going to be to learn how to work a camera. I have a wonderful camera, and up until now, I've hardly ventured from the program modes. It's time to make the jump to manual. So, armed with my camera, my camera's instruction book, inpiration from fellow Pbase members and a bit of courage......Here I go....

Advice & suggestions are always welcome...It's all about learning:

Kimberly - I spent some time looking at your galleries today. I think you have got some really good, clean images and an eye for composition.

The only suggestion I have is keep shooting!

My hobby is photography and my equipment is only a simple compact digital camera. I'd like to improve my skills to earn extra money. Each day I eagerly come to Pbase to see,
the next work of art posted by Kimberly.
But to my surprise and much dismay,
there has been no PAD for many a day.
A busy life I know you must lead,
but your photo-a-day so many of us need.
So here is a poem to send good wishes your way,
and to thank you for the beauty your photos display.
Here's hoping you absence from PAD is brief,
for when you return many will sigh in relief.

All joking aside, your photos really are missed. I always look to you for inspiration and am looking forward to your next additions.

I now own a D70, before I made my decision, I've been keeping an eye on your galleries, and am always impressed by how great D70 is. There are many D70 users, but there aren't many beautiful and high quality pictures taken by D70.

I'll be very interested in seeing where you go with your PAD gallery. I see we're using the same camera... I've just had mine a couple of months. Lots to learn. The PAD is a good way to do that.
