An interesting specimen, and I would like to know if A. obscurus (or others of European origin such as A. lineatus and A. sputator) have been positively identified in the Ma. area. The specimen definitely has all the characteristics of A. obscurus, although the coloration is lighter than, but not outside the norm. Can anyone (Tom?) assist me with information on when and where the specimen was photographed?

A species of Agriotes, probably obscurus - but I´m not sure about that, not knowing the array of potentially similar species in your fauna.
