Real monsters they be!
Are these snakes poisonous?
I have one warming itself on the driveway asphalt today, here in Augusta, Maine!
Saw my first one last evening while walking the gravel road. About 10 inches long, charcoal black, red ring, pinkish orange underside. We are in north central Idaho.
Have not found any info on them being in this area. Wife wanted to kill it, but I said no way (we have rattlers around) and let it race of to the blackberries.
i just found 2 of them on the side of my house are they poison i killed them
I just found a baby ring neck snake in my basement. The amazing thing is, it has two heads! I thought it was really cool.
i found one of these snakes but it is black with yellow ring and tan belly. is it the same ? and is it poisonous?
are they poisonous? I have never seen this type of snake in this area before (Orange County NY )
In the past two weeks, I have found what I believe to be two baby ring-neck snakes in our dryer! Unfortunately, they are dead. I thought the first one was one of my kids' toys! Im wondering if they can get through to the dryer from the vent. It's vented under our porch. Ever heard of such a thing?
Beautifully captured color and detail. An amazingly beautiful species. Voted.
do they bite?
Workers just tore out the remainder of my old wall and found one of these living inside the column at the end. Exactly the same snake description. Small and quick and tried unsuccessfully to bite one of the guys. He put the snake in the bushes.
I just found one in our basement 10-12 long 1/4 inch diameter would there be more than one and would it be odd to find one this time of year?
the red ringed snakes are not poisinous but there bite still hurts.
