Thanks for your photos. I like the fact that you took photos of the entire stage and what it looks like. We have not had that. You were in the 12th row and no flash? You did a good job. Thanks for sharing.

BTW, it was also great for Clay to be wearing white through the major portion of the performance. In Portland he was in black and that just doesn't photograph well.

The first challenge in taking these pictures is that the concert venue will allow no flash and no light emitted from the camera. To take them, I turned off the flash and set the auto focus illuminator off. The second challenge is to catch the performers when they are not exhibiting motion (sometimes I was not successful!). It also helped that I had previously seen the performance and kinda knew what was coming. Beyond that I just tried to hold the camera as still as possible. To get these 87 pictures I had to throw away about 15.

Thanks for the pics. I can hardly wait until 12/22 at Raleigh. I have 7th row and a new camera, so maybe I'll got beautiful photos like yours.

Really enjoyed your photos and impressed at how clear they are for 12 rows back and no flash. I only hope I can take as good of photos 14 rows back in Salt Lake. Thanks for sharing great photos with us. Ginny in Idaho
