For a period of about two years I spent a lot of time taking pictures in zoos. But early in 2008 birding regained its old strenght and I suddenly lost interest in animals in artificial settings.
In retrospect, I was shaping my photographic skills, mostly composition. And I learned some valuable lessons about making the best of moving motives in bad light. Now it often happens in the evening that other birders pack up and leave while I stay and take some more pictures.
