Murten (french: Morat) is a small town in western Switzerland. Large parts of its medieval city wall are still intact and about one third of it are open to the public. "Intra Muros", i.e. inside the city walls, there has not been much rebuilding activity since the 18th century, even though it's still thriving with people, shops, restaurants and cars.
