First job of the weekend was to prepare the shuttering for the offside wall between locks 24 & 25
The ready mix concrete being poured ...
... and vibrated
We placed 6 cubic metres of concrete.
Another job was to excavate spoil ...
.... transport it ...
... and to place it as shuttering support for the next concrete pour.
Looks like Martins doing some heavy duty gardening!!
The main job for the weekend was to continue the towpath side wing wall above lock 26, here we are fixing the cavity mesh
Lesley, Tracey & Bob start the bricklaying
Alan tying in to the original brickwork ...
... which was not easy as the reclaimed bricks were all different sizes ...
...and had to be dorted by thickness and quality of face.
A rare picture of Bob taking a break.
The bricklaying continues
A view of the cavity from above
Any chipped bricks could be used on the back row of stretcher courses.
We laid nine courses over the weekend
A small extra job was to do some pointing below lock 25
On Sunday the locals removed the shuttering from the concrete we poured the day before

Great photos Tim. Would you mind if I used some of them on the Lichfield & Hatherton website? (credited to you, of course). We look forward to seeing London WRG again in February.
