Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

The glossy ibis is very similar to the white faced ibis, which can
be found further west in coastal areas of Louisiana and Texas. The
distinguishing feature is the pale blue border on the face of this
bird when it is in breeding plumage. The white faced ibis is white
around the face, hence the name.
