Found this lovely specimen of a European Garden Spider in the laundry room of the summer cottage where I work. It had spun an amazingly huge and perfect orb weaver web attached to the washing machine, window casing and walls. Needing to use the machine, I use a broom to detach the web and gently swept the spider out the kitchen door!

All that work for nothing. :) Super composition and capture of this perfect web and little spider. I like the way the light illuminates the spider in the center. V.
