Aurora Sightings!

These are some pictures taken of the fantastic Aurora Borealis as seen in Naperville, IL (a western suburb of Chicago). Taken with a Nikon D70, between 15-25 sec exposure, 18MM at F4 mostly. Should be able to see the Aurora again on November 8 and 9, check out www.spaceweather.com for more details.

I'm pretty pissed I didn't get to see these the other night. Hopefully tonight they will appear as predicted. Saw lights a couple of years ago out in Naperville. Now live in Lockport. Great pix!!!!!!!

Wow, spectacular colors, nice catch! I very much enjoy #7 and the rest of the photos that feature your house...for some reason it appeals to my eye even more so than the trees, not only in your images but even in my own. I think it just gives a better sense of scale...anyway, great job!
