Reflecting Pool

Washington, DC

I got this shot late in the evening, about 10 PM from the platform of the Lincoln Memorial, looking down the Mall toward the obelisk of the Washington Monument, honoring our first president. I took this exposure by holding the right side of the Canon against the center column of the Lincoln Memorial, which is about 30 feet above the site where the landing is engravesd below, to mark the spot where Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous speech, "I Have a Dream." Behind the base of the monument, a portion of the Capitol dome is visible.

I had to shoot a few.

This is a very impressive and powerful capture Michael.
Beautiful reflections too, and the people in the foreground complete this magic scene.
So well done!!
