The egret jumped/flew up to a log boom (sorry I missed that) and continued fishing.
I was looking for a strong diagonal composition - his long bill helped :)

Thanks very much, Hal and Elaine! He/she is one of the more fun birds I have photographed recently. Nice and big and didn't fly off! I'll post one or two more shots - I don't want to bore you :).

An excellent image Terry. Don't think l've ever seen one fishing without being in the water. Very unusual.
