7-2-2015 Spotted Sandpiper hatchling on the Wenatchee River

Be sure to view in Original Size

Although not particularly spectacular, I was excited to discover I had photographed a very young (just
out of the nest) Sandpiper. I liked the backlighting.

Thanks Sally! BTW, don't worry, I was the one that said the shot was 'not particularly spectacular.'

I think Elaine has thought it me that stated it was not spectacular. It was not me who said it!

This is truly lovely Terry. How lucky to see a hatchling. Beautifully captured.

Really wonderful Terry.
New life is always wonderful to see
and the backlighting is the cherry on the top.
A memorable image.

Thanks so much, Elaine and Pete.

It catches the light so well, and indeed as a youngster has more appeal

oops....sorry Terry!!
Wrong name...my bad.

Dear Sally,
Perhaps not spectacular in your opinion.
I feel it is a wonderfully evocative image,
I love the way the pebbles in the foreground are out of focus,
giving the sandpiper focus.
I love the feathers blowing in the wind.
Great work!
I also love the tonal quality of this photograph too.
