The Last Sunrise of 2014

THIS is why I live in the Pacific Northwest! And, why I am blessed to live on a beach with a view of the mountains. Yesterday, the sunrise looked just like this but I had to head out to work. Today, I planned to be ready for the sunrise and was delighted to see a repeat of yesterday's show. This is from Juniper Beach on Camano Island looking east across Port Susan to Mount Pilchuck in the distance. And while I was shooting four bald eagles came out, chased a bunch of ducks around (talk about harassing the wildlife!) then one of them landed on the old piling on the right and posed for me! I just love it when the wild life cooperates for me!
