12-23-2014 A quick test of my Canon 5D mark iii ISO 6400

Best in Original Size

The primary reasons I broke down and bought the 5d Mark iii are the full 35mm frame sensor and
its ability to handle high ISOs to deal with our perennial darkness.
This test was taken through my office window a few days ago.
No noise filtering. Noise is certainly visible, but
considering the crop, not too bad, IMHO. I'm a happy camper :)

Congratulations on the new camera. Isn't it amazing how the iso ceiling has been raised. I saw a few hummers in the last couple of days despite the very cold weather. I will never be able to capture them like you do, but you motivate me to try.

Dear Terry, You should be happy!! I love the depth of the colours in the bird's feathers against the bright red. Good use of depth of field too. Congratulations.
