October, Dixville Notch

Dixville Notch, NH

The process of finding the scanned Kodachrome slide of my father has allowed me to find a number of files I thought I had lost. During the five hour hunt for the tribute photo, I found old digital files, and some were worthy of presenting to you. I am sure the Lord is showing me that there is much here to do.

"But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead."Matthew 8:22. I see, every day, things Dad taught me, but am coming to realize that we are truly here for a purpose, His purpose.

So, as much to honor what I have been shown, I will have a few images from 2003 and 2004, most with my old faithful Nikon D1x.

If you get tired of them, I will be shooting again soon. My Leica is back from CLA.

Nikon D1x ,Tamron 17 mm/3.5
1/90s f/3.5 at 17.0mm iso125 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

You found a treasure-trove! I really believe that we can all benefit by going back through our archives. Processing programs have improved a lot over the years and files that didn't make the cut back then can be enjoyed now. I also find that sometimes, I just pick one or two from a day of shooting, and don't even really give the rest a good look. I think I will follow your lead and look back through some of mine.

I'm glad that your Leica is back and that all ended well! I will look forward to more from the treasure-trove, too.

What a lovely peaceful picture! The colours are truly beautiful.
I would love to have this on my wall.

How can we tire of images like this ?
The date of shooting is SO VERY secondary.
That it has to have been shot in the last 2 weeks to be acceptable
is totally wrong.
You took this lovely image, no matter on what date.
Truly lovely and artistic, Michael.

Absolutely right, Lynn...
Beautiful resort there called "The Balsams" there. Will post soon.
Thank you for your kind comment.

This is a wonderful, colorful view! I can't imagine tiring of something like this. Isn't Dixville Notch the town that finishes voting first? I've heard of it many times, despite (or because) of its small size.
