Glorious Space Needle Sunset

I work in an office complex north of Seattle and fully intended on leaving today with sufficient time to fight the traffic southbound into the city, scout out a new location facing west that I have never done before, and hopefully capture something of interest.

Despite last minute conversations before leaving the office and, thank fully better than usual Seattle commuter traffic, and driving down various dead ends, I actually found an incredible place right at the peak of an amazing sunset, to quickly setup the gear and managed to capture this before the wonderful light all went away.

Oh how I love it when a plan all comes together!

This is gorgeous, Jim. I can tell you, I relate to your story because I've been trying to find a good west-facing vantage point too. Our area is flat, so getting the sunset with interesting features is a challenge. I have yet to find that 'sweet spot'. Congratulations on this beautiful work of art.
