Federal St. Laurent

Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada

I like the bright colors of the Federal St. Laurent. It is a self-loading cargo ship. It was off-loading large pipes onto tractor-trailer beds as we passed by on the Canadian side of the St. Mary's River. Of note, is the orange lifeboat on the rear. The lifeboat is designed to right itself if it capsizes.

Most interesting, Cindy.
Close friend of mine from Michigan speaks of the area frequently, and it is great to see it.

Thanks, Lynn, hal and Pat.
Pat, yes, bright red it was. It was so unusual because most of the boats were black or rusty iron colored.

How interesting. A ship with its own harbor cranes.
lt looks like a job to get into the lifeboat.
A lovely and interesting photo Cindy

We were just in the Soo a few weeks ago. I love the rich red color and the fluffy clouds here.
