Excellent and even the tree reflected on the church adds interest

Stunning work Jim.
lt does look like a later Van Gogh painting.
ln the old days l'd have thought the meteor was a scratch on the negative.
Great that you managed to get a meteor in this amazing image.

Incredible, Jim. Reminds me a bit of a Van Gogh painting.

Jim, I am in awe! You make it sound so easy, but unless one has the artistic vision and the knowledge, they would not be able to accomplish this. I do like the part about sitting in the convertible with the wife, watching the meteor shower...sounds like heaven.

Thanks, Michael! Once I got the focus dialed in (challenging in the dark...) and got the right composition all lined up, the rest actually was very easy. I used my canon intervelometer to program the sequence to do 70 exposures for 60 seconds each with a one second gap between each one. Then I just went back to my car on the other side of the church, put the roof down and enjoyed the meteor shower with my wife until the time was up. It was an awesome show in the heavens, too bad I only got on meteor throughout the sequence.
