Great find!
Someone said in 1912 when he saw this, "What will they think of next?" :)

What a beast of a train, a fabulous shot Cindy.

I love this shot and your processing. I recently read a book called "The White Cascade" about a major avalanche in our Cascade Mountains in the early 1900s where these engineering marvels played a major role. A hiking trail to the site has recently been put in and I am hoping get up there this Spring or Summer.

Here is a link to an early photo of a rotary plow and the large crew required to operate it.

Thanks, everyone. I was asked to join in a photo exhibit, so I have been going back through my archives. These train photos are photos that I never processed. It seems that as software and skills change, it might be a good idea to go back and see what you might have passed over in the past.

Loving the vintage processing and the sharp shot from the Nikon...
Still a fine piece.
Your sepia days were very productive!

Lots of blades it should work they are steel....An excellent BW image of the engine captured from a very good angle and with very good details.
