Snow Geese

Today was my first visit this season up to Fir Island in search of snow geese. I found fairly abundant flocks, but since its still hunting season they were very jumpy and quite a few still out in the bay. Last day of hunting is January 29th, and according to the property owner on whose land I was on, the geese will show up in abundance in February. So, I'll be back next month and again in March to see the huge numbers of geese we typically see.
