Boat Bluff

The colorful and immaculately kept Boat Bluff Lighthouse lies on the southern end of Sarah Island, in the Tolmie Channel, along British Columbia's Inside Passage waterway. It is tradition for the two lighthouse keepers to wave to the cruise ships as they pass by - unfortunately they didn't come out this time The only way in to this remote station is by helicopter or boat. And for immediate neighbors, the keepers have only the bears, wolves and cougars.

A nice bit of work involved in building this place.
I love those red roofs, they make the buildings pop.

A lot of engineering went into this picturesque light house complex.
I'm puzzled about where the light is?
Nice work

Looks as neat as a pin, so they must be industrious as well as solitary folks. Nicely photographed.

Fascinating... sounds like a great job for folks that
don't mind the isolation. I'm sure there is a long
waiting list.

Most interesting shot Jim.
That is quite a flight of stairs to get up there.

The ship gave you a wonderful view point. Makes me recall having
done a similar cruise several years ago. Marvelous experience!
