Mount Edith Cavell
This mountain is the reason I picked Jasper National Park to come to for my summer trip. As I've previously noted, the weather on this trip has been less than cooperative and I was resigned to accepting the fact that we would not see this most spectacular mountain cloud free. But, for a very few brief moments today about 2 hours prior to sunset, the clouds cleared and we hurried to get back to a previously identified location. The effort paid off, and I'm just ecstatic that I was able to capitalize on the opportunity!
Today was just an incredible day of shooting for this and several other reasons. Including two different black bear shooting sessions, a massive bull elk in velvet, and my favorite... mountain sheep ewes that got in my truck with me! Yes, they got in my truck and were eating my floor mats, if you can believe that. Earlier in the day prior to that this same collection of sheep sat down next to my truck and I went and sat with them for about half an hour. Me and my gals had a very nice time together as they posed for me and we just talked.
Ciao for now!
