Oregon

Pistol Beach

Wow, what an incredible day of travel and shooting this was! We traveled about 250 miles south from where we started and I stopped to photograph probably a dozen different locations. The day ended at Brookings, Oregon with a detour afterwards back north about 20 miles to photograph this beach at sunset. After I was l all done I managed to fall down and broke a couple of bones in my left hand, scraped up my left leg and bruised quite a few muscles along my left leg. Oh well, it was definitely worth it! I can hardly believe the variety of great shots I got today. More to come tomorrow...

Jesus Jim, what are you doing to yourself???
A little bit of danger is not too bad, but nearly killing yourself is just not on.
It is a fantastic shot Jim, but will you take care. LOL.

You and I have similar luck around beach rocks.
This is a lovely image and hauntingly composed.
Hope you're feeling some better.
The things we do to ourselves for our craft...

I just commented on your previous image that maybe you do too much.
Well here's the proof - lol - a great shot - but not a good trade for broken bones me thinks.

A truly incredibly shot and certainly worth all of the pain and suffering
it took to get it. Easy for me to say, eh? Didn't you take a nasty
tumble a few months back as well?

Well Jim, that was really an experience and a tough one too! The result is extremely great! Love the dark blue overall color and the huge black stones with some interesting light on them!

Ahem, Jim, try to keep yourself put together!
This is simply awesome. It certainly demonstrates your excellent
skill and artistic talent. Its exciting to follow your trip photos
and adventures - but do take care! Hope your wounds heal quickly.
