Predator in the Park

Shiloh, Tennessee

These animals are quite shy and infrequently seen, by me, at least, sine they are more nocturnal.
Coyotes have really increased their range in the US. We even had a couple near our property frequently...but getting three Great Pyrennes has largely resolved that issue.

He looks healthy. Yes, we have quite a few around where I live. Nice capture, Michael!

A wonderful and quite alarming photo Michael.
lntroduced foxes take a toll of Shore Birds here,
and one fox has even taken up residence in the near-by Tailer Park
and is FED by visitors.

Yeah, Stoge, I think that is soon going to become a problem for them.
If I get a chance out here on MY land, it will DEFINITELY become a problem for the ones I see...a final problem, you might say...

Great capture Michael! Their numbers have increased in SNP
in the last couple of years. More alarming is that they are
less afraid of people now.

A fine shot, well done.

Beautiful specimin shot, Michael. He does look rather healthy.

Yes, Jim, he was about the size of a German Shepherd. One of the larger ones I have seen, and the only one I was prepared enough to shoot when I saw him. A bit on the disturbing size, actually...

Excellent shot, Michael. And, a very healthy looking coyote. Obviously he's not having any difficulties filling his belly.

Nice image Michael. I see them here but only at a long distance. You had a great opportunity and took good advantage of it.
