Shiloh, Tennessee

Today at Shiloh. Preparing for the re-enactment of the Battle of Shiloh, which concluded 149 years ago yesterday, soldiers are encamped on the field where approximately 700 Confederate, and 600 Union troops died or wee wounded in the battle for the "Hornets' Nest". I just watched the Ken Burns Civil War, last episode, tonight. This could
easily have been one of the scenes. The b&w sepia is perfect.

This is a fine shot with nothing to suggest that it is not authentic. I'm sure you will have a marvelous time at the re-enactment and will have lots to share.

I really think the sepia treatment works on this photo. It gives the old timey feel to the photo that the subject deserves. Well done.
