So, there's no water where there should be here, and water where there shouldn't be on Cindy's current post. No wonder I feel like I am upside-down on the other side of the looking glass!
Love the superb lines and angles, Jim.
Fascinating rock formations.

All the more impressive, now that I know what a Coulee is.
Beautiful work Jim.

Thanks, everyone for your comments! Hal, yes exactly right... a coulee is an ancient river bed, and we have many in eastern Washington. Moses Coulee is the largest one in the state, and its quite impressive to stand in the middle of it and look at the massive cliffs that line both sides and just imagine the force of water that once flowed through it.

Thanks!
Jim

Great perspective and road landscape!

The ledges are like a gallery for giants, nice shot and well cleared road.

Amazing depth to this photo. You pulled me right in and down the road.

I love your perspective on this one, Jim. I think I know this particular curve :)
The snow really brings out the basalt layers.

A very powerful perspective shot Jim with the massive rock-face at right.
l haven't come across the word used in this respect before.
Couler meaning to Flow. Coulee the past participle meaning 'flowed'.
Perhaps this was at one time a river bed ?
A wonderful photo, anyway.
