Hal has agreed to let me post this idea. The idea is to open a section on TTL to hold challenges. This post is to gauge interest and ask for ideas. We (the TTL group) would decide ahead of time how often to start a new challenge (possibly 2 weeks, 3 weeks, even weekly or monthly.) One member would be the host of the current challenge. They would decide what the theme of the challenge would be. Near the end of the challenge, the host would pick the next host from those interested in hosting. That way, anyone who wants to host a challenge will have an opportunity. Challenge photos would be put into the Challenge gallery. At the end of the challenge, we would move the entries into a sub-gallery of the Challenge gallery and start anew.
Some ideas for challenges are self-portraits (Michael’s idea), colors, music, poem, landscapes, portraits, whatever you want. Another idea that is fun is for the host to put up an unprocessed file that has challenges. Everyone would download the file and fix it up creatively…then repost.
This is meant to be fun. There is no pressure to participate. Hopefully, we could all grow photographically.
