Beaches near Porthtowan - N. Cornwall

The Heather was out on our walk in July. (late morning)
This is one of many beaches and coves of golden sand, surfers and rocky cliffs.
All day there was sun over the sea and mist inland and a battle between the two which was finally won convincingly by the sun in the evening.

Pete,

This is wonderful! Its like three pictures in one, with the foreground running horizontally and the ocean and coastline nicely dividing the shot into another two distinct sections. The marine layer provides a very nice element of mystery in the distance. Kind of like peering into the future.

Peter, in my view, this is good enough, in fact better than any of the postcards I have seen... An absolutely magnificent photograph in every way.... well done...

This is great, withe the mist coming off the land, no-one there either!

Magnificent, Pete. I love the heather in the foreground and the very
interesting rock on the beach. I'm delighted the sun won out
in the evening :)

A very and atmospheric photo, Pete.
Beautifully taken and capturing the inland fog very well indeed
