William deGarthe, created the "Great Monument".

This monument is segmented into three sections,
The first section is the fisherman's family with a guardian angel watching over them.
The second section depicts Peggy of the Cove.
The third section shows fishermen at work with a dory, nets, a high-flyer and other fishing implements.
