Fairview Cemetery.
Ernest Freeman's gravestone is among a few of the markers in Fairview Cemetery that is different in size. Whether it was to clear a guilty conscience as some have speculated or to honor a faithful friend, J. Bruce Ismay chairman of the White Star Line paid for this marker and had it erected. Along with paying for the marker, Ismay also paid a personal pension to Freeman's family in Southampton.
