30.Jan.2005: Visit to Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum
Actually, on that day we merely took our Canon EOS-20D for a test shoot. I ended up deeply disliking the camera as such, however I was impressed by Canon sensor and its ability to cope with low-light situations. Combined with the Image Stabilization, we obtained several quite nice images of the artifacts. Thinking back on the hard work to scan and process any ISO 1600 film, I think that digital photography is a blessing! However, we really need better dynamic range, not more pixels. 12bit per pixel is just not a match to a good film. |
