New Life Ministries Mission Trip 2006 Santo Domingo Day 3

Day three…seems like we’ve been here already sooo long. God has moved in supernatural ways!! Thank you all for your prayers, they are being heard. Second day of construction…manual labor…everyone woke up sore and tired. The intercessors were up an hour earlier praying and doing their thing. The container arrived…Praise God! He is always faithful. We finally had more materials to accomplish so much that was still left to do. Through painting, unloading the container, building walls, pouring concrete, cement, etc, etc, and the grace of God we were able to accomplish as much as we could. Working with us were two other churches from Tampa, Washington, and Wayside Baptist. It was a blessing meeting and serving together with them. After a day of work we changed our clothes (without taking showers…lol…yea I know it’s gross. Thank God for wipes!!!) We were off to another mission. On the bus, we gave a balloon 1101 class teaching everyone how to make balloon animals for the children! That was fun. We visited a hospital and were able to minister to children, men, and women. More than 25 people accepted the Lord. We ministered to pregnant women, women who had abortions, women actually giving birth, sick children, men in the trauma unit, and men awaiting surgery. We witnessed a cesarean right in front of our eyes. As the nurse tried giving her the epidural shot the needle kept breaking and the staff was getting frustrated at the nineteen year old girl. We began to pray for the women and the baby and immediately the shot was completed and the baby was born healthy!! Praise God!! As we arrived back to the camp we were a bit drained, but grateful to God to have had the opportunity to minister to these people! As usual we ended off the day with spirit filled worship and a wonderful word from our two new friends Paul and Sue from Washington. We know God deposited something new and wonderful in their lives as He has deposited many new and wonderful things to this mission’s team.
