A slightly longer half-day walk is to the viewpoint immediately behind (north) the lodges at Kyangjin Gompa. You can make a circular walk out of this if you want. There is an established footpath to follow visible along the top edge of the cliffs in this picture. My maps suggest that this hill is called Kyimoshung. The long ridge at top right is Dragpoche (6562m).
