The summit cairn on the Nyi La (4010m). The cloud was still down as we left Geling but breaks were already beginning to appear. When we reached the top of this pass the weather was looking much more promising. The new chinese road starts at the bottom of this pass (Geling side) and goes all the way to LO Manthang. However, the nature of the land means that it is already suffering from washouts and landslips.
