We spent 3 nights on the North rim with two full days hiking. Then we drove to the South rim for 4 nights with 3 full days hiking. we were very lucky - the snow and rain day was the day we drove from the North rim to the South rim. The photographs I took at the Grand Canyon were the most disappointing of all the ones taken on this trip. I cannot see how you can do a good job of a landscape which might be 10 or 20 miles wide when you only have 4000 pixels.
