Faces of India: Portraits of a People

From October through December of 2004 I had the privilege of visiting parts of Northern India. My main objective is to photograph the "Human Experience", a photographic essay that I am in the process of producing. These are just a few of the myriad of portraits that have come through my lens to share with fellow travelers on this earth.

I see the blue dot coming alive in the images depicted. Rich in color,smells and the need for perfecting a mood. As an artist myself, I see a kind of loneliness, a sadness in the eyes of the characters.
There is a hope in the search to reach the truth,
the truth in th celebration of life.

Dear Ellen: I was moved the first time I viewed your photography and by your ability to capture that present moment glance when spirit reveals itself in compassion and with great depth of knowledge in which we all hold. These pictures are a reflection of your own inner beauty. I am drawn to them all, but find the misty images on the Ganges my favorites reminding me of those moments when we drift through life seeking our way and sometimes having forgotten we are eternally supported and guided by Divinity. Thank you for revealing spirit.

These are amazing, absolutely amazing. Your sense of color, vividness, softness/boldness is keen and perfect....I LOVE the red clock on the ganges, that is fabulous....
