PACIFIC NORTHWEST by WARREN KRUPSAW

We began in the Olympic Rain Forest, , Lake Quinault, the Hoh Rain forest and Lake Crescent,WA. On Vancouver Island, the very formal Butchart Gardens and Tofino. Spotted Lake in British Columbia was another highlight. We walked among the Rewood trees and managed the 3:15 a.m. wake-up alarms for sun rise over the Palouse with Alan Caddey our photographic guide. We drove through the awesome Columbia River Gorge and saw the Hoyt Gardens in Portland, Oregon. We traveled 4,400 miles in four weeks, in a rented RAV, Toyota (with brakes intact).
