#018 January Moon

Its a very clear night and the moon is out so I set up a ridiculous rig with 100-400 lens + 2x and 1.4x Teleconvertors and took this shot of the moon.
Total equivalent lens length also is multipied x 1.6 on Canon DSLRs so.... hang on till I get my calculator .... 400 x 2 x 1.4 x 1.6 = 1792mm
Sorry, this is getting very technical isn't it ;)

PS only cropped it square and resized for web with a bit of USM

Oh here is the what the rig looks like

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
1/30s f/11.0 at 1792mm iso800. On tripod, IS turned off. full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Great! I shot the moon yesterday, but he was laughing.

Ooooh that's a big zoom!! Good shot though, no sign of the moon here - too much rain!
