Osprey Banding in Luxury

On July 2nd, 2011 we again went out on the mighty Wolf river to band osprey chicks. This time we went out in luxury. The Wolf was way high and a pontoon boat was just perfect for the event. We did not think our climber could climb the pole from a canoe. So Sharkey Schroeder, the climber from Great Lakes Linebuilder, brought a pontoon boat for the chore. It went quite well and not one of us got wet.

The color this year is orange for the left leg and the normal US Fish and Wildlife silver on the right leg.
