Well last year we released 5 cranes and got back two of them One went to a zoo and 307 came back here. Just before Thanksgiving when his buddies left he did not. We waited for a few days and then went and brought him home. He was over wintered here and now we are praying he changes his mind and goes with the group this year. It was a long year for him here and we also wondered would he finally get the message and be a sandhill. Have to wait and see when the cranes leave the Fremont area. Which will be very soon.
His banding is different from the 2011 birds. His color and on the left and metal on the right above the hock, also he is adult color at release time.
